Newborn Care Specialists
How do we define a Newborn Care Specialist?
A Newborn Care Specialist is someone who typically starts with a family the day they bring home their newborn and work with them for 60-120 days. We look for NCS’s who have extensive training and experience, as well as glowing references from clients of ours who have utilized their services.
Triangle Nannies requires that Newborn Care Specialists be comfortable emptying diaper pails, taking out the trash, cleaning bottles and restocking changing and nursing stations, washing and folding baby laundry, and occasional help with cooking.
Unlike nannies, Newborn Care Specialists are contractors and do not need to be paid overtime. This said, we see two options for shifts: 12 hours or 24 hours.
They typically charge between $30-40/hr depending on their experience and training.
Just like doulas, these individuals book out well in advance. Contact us at the beginning of your pregnancy to get a search started!
We understand that this is one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make and we’re here to support you through it. Matchmakers (and therapists) by trade, we have an eye for detail- and we explore all of them.
